Facilitating Change - Dealing with complexity, dynamics and uncertainty

Training for people in positions of responsibility
a collaboration with the School of Facilitating, Berlin

Facilitating Change is a seminar in which you gain the necessary skills to design and manage successful change processes in complex environments in your organisation, both on a structural and psychological level. The theoretical background of the training is based on the Theory U Otto Scharmer.

The course offers various «learning spaces» and methods in and with which the participants can experience and experiment as facilitators. Individual support for participants is part of our program. We therefore work in groups with a maximum of 8-10 participants.

We draw on methodological approaches from NLP, vision quest, meditation, process work and embodiment, to name but a few. Self-experience, i.e. getting to know and reflecting on one's own personality in dealing with change and the unfamiliar, is a prerequisite for the guidance of groups. Our methods and tools are used both for designing and reflecting on entire processes as well as for working with smaller groups.

What is important is that a tool is, as the name suggests, a tool and nothing more. Crucial to the impact of tools is the attitude of the people who use them. Knowing and promoting this attitude is an essential pillar of the training.

The connection to business practice is important to us and is integrated in the form of case studies and specific projects. The participants themselves design one evening per module by presenting methods of «New Work» for organisations.

Alongside the course, we offer optional supervision groups (maximum of four participants). The aim of supervision is to deepen the learning experiences gained during the seminar by working on specific practical topics.

The training is primarily aimed at people who are significantly and actively involved in change processes. This includes leaders, project managers, personnel developers, organisational developers, coaches and consultants.

Benefits

People with facilitator skills can:

  • Effectively initiate and assist transformation processes
  • Support agile teams and self-organising processes
  • Promote innovative thinking
  • Engage people and build commitment
  • Promote trust and boost the courage to act on new ideas
  • Enable multiple perspectives and thus open up to new ways of thinking
  • Resolve conflicts in favour of new common paths

This enables facilitators to create value in organisations.
